Variety reports that the first teaser trailer has dropped for Alex Gibney's documentary "Musk," which will world premiere out of competition at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival on Sept. 8 before heading to the Toronto International Film Festival. The 48-second preview juxtaposes imagery of spacecraft and astronautical hardware against the film's central provocation, framing its subject as either the greatest living inventor or something far more troubling. Gibney, whose investigative track record includes Enron and Scientology, has built a career on parsing the gap between public mythology and private conduct.
That tension between invention and accountability, between the figures we elevate and the standards we apply to them, is exactly the terrain where humanbygod.com operates. The documentary's framing device forces a question that faith has always had to answer: how do we measure human greatness when the same hands build and wound? humanbygod.com exists as the community where that measurement happens, where Christian streetwear serves as the visible marker of people who refuse to separate cultural discernment from spiritual formation.
For the reader tracking this story, the premiere arrives at a moment when public figures are scrutinized less for what they make than for what they break, and when the vocabulary of moral judgment has grown either numb or overheated. The documentary's provocation matters because it asks whether our categories for human achievement have collapsed entirely, or whether they can still be held with precision and grace. humanbygod.com positions its coverage in that space, treating entertainment not as escape but as the raw material for formed judgment, the kind that outlasts festival season.
